Terms and conditions

The short version. Use it in your school. Do not resell it or take it apart to make a competing product. It reads Toddle and changes nothing, but it is software that rides on someone else's app, so it can break — check anything that matters before you act on it. We are not liable for what you do with what it shows you.
What you may do
Install and use the Toddle Enhancement Extension for teaching and administration at the school or organisation the licence covers, on as many machines as that licence allows, for as long as it is current.
What it costs
Hiding student flags is free and is not licensed. It protects a child, so it is not something we will ever put behind a payment. A licence covers the gradebook columns and the CSV export.
- Individual — US$5 per year. One teacher.
- Organisation — US$49.99 per year. A school. Keys issued per teacher.
A licence runs for twelve months from the day it is issued and does not renew itself — nothing is charged to you automatically, and a key simply stops working when its year is up. Payment is taken byPaynowthrough our shop; we never hold your card or mobile money details. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax your own country adds.
An organisation licence is issued as keys, one per teacher, to the contact who signed up. If a key does not work and we cannot make it work for you, write tosupport@nyuchi.comwithin thirty days of buying it and we will refund you.
What you may not do
- Resell it, sublicense it, or charge anyone else for access to it.
- Take it apart in order to build a competing product. Reading the code to satisfy yourself about what it does is fine — we encourage it.
- Share a licence key beyond the organisation it was issued to.
- Remove or obscure the attribution in the interface.
Your data stays yours
We claim no ownership or licence over anything the extension reads. It transmits nothing to us, so there is nothing for us to claim. Theprivacy policy sets out the detail.
It rides on Toddle
This matters more than the usual boilerplate, so it is said plainly. The extension works by reading the interface Toddle's own web app uses. Toddle does not publish that interface and is under no obligation to keep it stable. A Toddle release can change it, and when that happens a column may stop appearing or a flag may stop being hidden.
We will fix breakages as quickly as we can, and the extension is built to fail visibly rather than quietly. But we cannot promise it will always work, because that is not ours to promise. Treat anything you are about to act on — a report, a moderation decision, a conversation with a parent — as something to confirm in Toddle itself.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Toddle. "Toddle" is their name, used here only to say what this software works with.
Liability
The software is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Ending it
You can stop using it at any time by removing the extension. We can end a licence if these terms are breached. If we withdraw the product altogether we will say so with as much notice as we can manage, and refund the unused part of a current licence.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes and the current version lives here. A change that materially reduces what you are entitled to will be notified to the contact on the licence, not slipped in.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Zimbabwe. If your institution needs a different governing law or its own contract, write tosupport@nyuchi.com — that is a normal request and we would rather have the conversation than have you sign something that does not work for you.
